It's a Blustery Day In The Woodlands,TX

Last night we had a front or something come through. It brought in a lot of late night rain and crazy wind. The rain stopped by the time I left the house this morning, but man was the wind a-whistlin'! In circular motions too! You would watch from the windows and see leaves rotating toward the sky in little funnels. We were in a tornado watch all night and into the early morning. I did not hear if any actually formed. As I drove to work today you could feel the strong wind trying to topple the car over. Then try to throw me off my feet as I ran to my office. But a good thing is, we still have no a/c at work and this chilly wintery weather is making it bearable in the building.
Today I work from 3-11pm so I will probably will be posting a couple blogs. I will need something to pass the time. Today will be filled with Word Whomp on Pogo.com and browsing websites. If anyone read this I would ask for recommendations on some fun blogs on blogspot to follow.

OH! Have you seen the new trailer for Shrek The 4th!? Check it out!

Ok Guys, Turn The Air Conditioning Back On!

At work for the past few days they have been working on some sort of pipe in the ceiling. So they have had to keep the A/C off. It is so hot. My office is tiny and sort of like a cubicle. The only way air gets in is the door you come into the office through. Hopefully this will be fixed soon so I won't pass out. I have been trying to stay hydrated too and that doesn't seem to be working. I drink drink drink and I still can walk and feel my feet swollen or try to ball my fists and my fingers are swollen. This is no fun!
But you know what is fun! Christmas type stuff! Ice Skating, buying special items for the special people in your life. Knowing that someone needs something and you are able to get that for them and bring a little joy to them! Oh Christmas time! I love the joy you drag in! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. I work 3-11 so I need to make sure to sleep tonight and get up early enough to wrap gifts and get them under the tree. Boy will my brothers be surprised at what I got them! I haven't gotten my dad anything yet though. Next check for sure. Now when he says "man a ___ would go great with this!" I can get that for him. Kind of cheating but it's one less thing he will need to get later.
Christmas day plans are to wake up, eat breakfast, do dishes, gather in front of the tree, unwrap gifts, jump for joy, take gifts to room and store properly, begin prep work for dinner, prepare dinner, sit and eat dinner, and sleep. For Dinner we will be having Steaks and Baked Potatoes. Yum, yum, yum, yum!!! With how many food people we have in our house I am sure it will be fantastic! Actually, I forgot that right after presents are taken to the rooms mom is going to be leaving to head to San Antonio to spend time with my Grandma. She is really excited about that. I wish I could join her but I have to work the day after Christmas. That's ok. I will have time to visit soon I am sure.

I really don't have any important news so I will end the blog here. Talk to you later!

Today's show brought to you by passiveagressivenotes.com

So, when I need a good chuckle I usually head to passiveagressivenotes.com to help me out. It's where coworkers, friends, parents, pretty much anyone, sends in passive agressive notes they have recieved or seen through the day. The ones I find the funniest are the ones where they threaten people's lives. There are some really angry people out there. I will share some with you.

I hope at least one of these made you laugh.
Thank you have a pleasant tomorrow!

The first of three days off.

Today's plans include lunch with Kimber! We are going to some place I have never heard of. She says it's called Cheeseburger Cheeseburger. I think she's craving a cheeseburger. Today is her 21st birthday! Yay Kimber! You made it! That one age everyone fights to make it to, then doesn't know what to do once they've reached it. That could just be me though. I'm not to sure what we will be doing after our cheeseburger adventure. I know I have to be home by six though.
My brother has some boyscout end of the year thing tonight. I have no idea what it is fro, or what they will be doing. I'm sure there will be some groin hits and some tackling. It's all normal in a meeting with the BOA. These are some of the brattiest guys ever. I wonder if boyscouts was created as a cheaper alternative to boarding school. I do enjoy the campouts though. Except that one with the raccoons and the sign saying "stay away from the water. The alligators WILL eat you."
The final thing for the night, I hope. Will be our office holiday party at The Main Event. I agreed to go so Kristen wouldn't be alone. This place is awesome. It has bowling, billiards, laser tag, and an arcade. We will be having so much fun. This is a joint party with guest services too. Now THAT should get interesting. Night before last we had a little run in with a guest services guy. He was just pissy and was angry at everyone. He had no need to take it out on us though. The other gys made fun of him big time though. I'm sure he won't be doing that again.

WellI think Kimber has arrived so I will update again tomorrow! Have a wonderful day!!

Game 1- The Cheese Stands Alone

"Goodness!" Chester said while wiggling out of his seran wrap. "It was such a long day. But at least we are refridgerated." At that moment Patrick a bag of Fritos came running down the aisle. He was running so fast, when he saw Chester standing at the edge of the fridge unit he didn't have enough time to stop before smacking right into it and knocking Chester off. "Patrick! You really need to be more careful. You're gonna make me lose my wrapping." Chester was always the worry wart of his group of friends. It was him, Patrick the Fritos, Frenchie a tub of french onion dip, Betty the bluebery yogurt, and Jim a frozen Lean Cuisine. Although, you didn't see Jim often. He pretty much stayed in the freezer. If you needed to have an in depth conversation with him, you usually headed to the freezer aisle. Chester started to hoble his way down the edge of the unit, "Frenchie. FRENCHIE! I need a favor." "What do you need Chester? You know I actually enjoy my sleep." Frenchie was a grouch. No other way to put it. He didn't like to be bothered, and he hated being the tub on the bottom of the stack. Frenchie jumped down from his position on top of the other tubs, almost knocking down a tub of Sour cream on the way down. He didn't care. He didn't look back to see if the sour cream was ok. "If you have some sort of crazy prank or plan I want NO part in it." he shouted toward Chester. "Crazy? I didn't think it was crazy. Exciting! Yes I would call it exciting." Chester hollered while waddling his way up to Frenchie. "Count me out." "But, come on!" "Count Me out!" "

To be continued. later tonight.

Let's get out of here, past the atmosphere.

I am sure everyone has a day, where they wish they were somewhere other than where they are. Today is that day for me. I am currently at work after a long weekend. I had sunday, Monday, and Tuesday off. I only really needed sunday. That was the day I drove out to Dallas to visit with some friends and see a concert. But because my job is kinda almost struggling they are cutting hours and being more generous (?) with the days we get off. Some people would think "WOOHOO! Time with my family," I don't. I think, how will I pay my Geico bill, my verizon bill, rent, other stuff? It will work out. It always does.
So today I found out some crummy news. I have been trying for the last month and a half to figure out how to get New Year's Eve off so I could go out and spend some time with my friend and see a Bob Schneider show. Bob was scheduled to play The Meridian, in Houston on New Years Eve. It would include dinner, Champagne toast, and a balloon drop! I was so excited something so fun would be happening in my city. I didn't have to drive to Austin. Well, last night Igot a text from a friend. Turns out the date was removed from all of the artist's pages. And was replaced with New Year's Eve at The Paramount Theatre in Austin. Which is nice. The place is beautiful. But for a new year's eve party, not what I would have preferred. The Paramount it is a completely seated venue. I don't see people dancing and singing and jumping for joy with chairs jabbing into the back of their knees. I attended the Bomabanza Christmas last year, it was a great time but it took people a bit to REALLY get into the show because it was an entirely seated venue. Here's the Trailer for the event. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7HHQ0DXSlk
I am not sure I want to attend. I still have a while to decide, thank goodness. But I think it could also be because his dates with Bruce Hornsby were canceled and maybe the Meridian wasn't pulling in the type of cash they were expecting. That's normal too. The event should be fun. Bob usually has a bit of fun. Just not to sure If I want to go that far yet. :)

Well, it is now time for me to pack it up and head home. I will talk to everyone later. Thank you blog for keeping me company.

The 30th Day of November, and a week later.

Again, I am at work. Our occupancy is only supposed to get up to 24% today which means I have a lot of time to do a lot of nothing. After today I will not be back at work until saturday. It's like a mini unpaid vacation. Then Sunday I drive out to Dallas to go see Kris and catch an Eric Hutchinson show. I am also taking two girls from work who have never seen him perform live. I'm pretty sure I will be doing the driving. It's a 5 hour drive and I have the GPS. My car gets horrible gas mileage but whatever. It will be a fun time and I will get to spend some time with some girls I hardly hang with.
OK, it's now December 7th.
Last night I did the drive to Dallas, TX with my friend Kristen that I work with and her sister Kathy. It sprinkled about 92% of the way there. But the good thing was that there were not very many cars out. I had never been to the House Of Blues Dallas before so of course we set up Betty ( the gps system) to get us there. She had us take I-45 N. all the way up to Lamar street then follow Lamar down to the House of Blues. Super easy.... until we found the one way streets and passed the venue, three times. Wah wah! We knew it was across from Dick's Last Resort but we never saw it. We finally got there around 2:00. We were worried about parking because we didn't know what would be the safest thing to do. We ended up parking out front and eating lunch at the HOB. Then at around 4 Oclock we went back out to pay the valet service so they wouldn't tow the car! That would have been an interesting added factor in the trip. Doors didn't open until 7pm and we were done with lunch at 4pm and needed something to do.Our waitress was nice enough to let us know that there was an AQUARIUM nearby. So we walked over to that. It was only one block from the venue! Perfect! By the time we found the front door to the Aquarium it was 4:15 and they closed at 5:00pm. We decided to do it anyway! Boy am I happy we did! We saw all sorts of strange fish and seahorses! They even had toucans and snakes and MONKEYS! Kristen was very determined to take a monkey home. I'm sure House Of Blues would have made us keep it in the car. They had this section just for sharks. It was terrifying! It was a tunnel and you walk through and the sharks surround you. But it was pitch black and they just came in out of no where. Unfortunately, if you wanted to go any further in the aquarium you had to go through it. I finally took a deep breath and ran as fast as my legs would take me, when I got to the other side my heart was beating extremely fast and I was on the verge of tears. I have never really been a fan of sharks. I think they are beautiful and don't wish they were all dead or not on earth, I just don't like them near me. We finished up the aquarium adventure in the girt shop. The gift shop had an outdoor penguin exhibit. They were so cute. I think they were loving the weather. Just hanging out and chillin. Before we left Kristen had her little heart set on this pen that was a shark with googly eyeballs. It really made the trip for her. She used it all the time. I'm so glad she picked it up. I was crushing on a stuffed Otter. Otter's are my favorite animals ever. I love them. That's about all we did at the aquarium this trip.

After the aquarium, we walked back to the House Of Blues. People were already lined up for the act in the big room. That night it was Trivium. We were a little confused because there was only one entrance and two rooms. The valet guys there were SUPER helpful and explained to us where to stand and when we would be let in. They also told us we could go inside and hang out while we waited for doors so we wouldn't freeze to death in the rain and cold. People finally started lining up for Eric around 6:45pm. The first people to show up was a girl named Emily and her parents. Her dad was really silly. Emily had never seen Eric before so of course told her she was in for a treat. I even told her parents that they should stick around, I knew they would enjoy him also. He is quite family friendly in his music. I also haven't heard him swear in a while. Hahaha. There were two girls behind us. I didn't get around to asking their names though. They had never seen Eric but one of their sisters had and suggested they come out and see him. I didn't see them after the show. I hope they had fun. I'm sure they did. We stood out in the rain for a bit, but not to long. Once all the Trivium people were filed into their part of the venue they let us in to wait in the dry.

The ticket taking and going in went so smooth. I have a habit when I go to concerts to stand in front of the stage to the left. For Mraz, in front of Bruce. For Bob, in front of Plank or Billy. This time I stood in front of the new gentleman in the band. His name is Elliott (like the dragon for Pete's Dragon!) and he sang back up vocals and and played piano and guitar. The opening act was a girl named Jessie Frye. She played piano and sang. She had a man with her to that played guitar with her on some of her songs. I think if I wasn't so close I may have enjoyed her a bit more. It was hard to understand her. She seemed like she could be much better than what she was. I don't think it will be the last time I see her.

Eric and the band came out to the drum roll you hear before a movie starts. Just hopped on stage and right into the song. He started off with You've Got You. Lot's of energy. I saw Daryl and another guy crawling around the stage during the first song a lot. Turns out they were having speaker problems. You couldn't tell in our systems though. They eventually got it fixed I guess. During Oh! Eric had us do an Oh off. I think the side I was not on was much louder than my side. Everyone was smiles when we joined our Ohs for the final time. We sounded great. He played Sad Songs for us. It has gotten... smoother since the last time I heard it. I think I am liking it more now. I hope he adds that to the new album or a little side EP. He made up a song for us. It started off being for the short people that could now see him because he was standing and playing guitar, but could only see the top of his head when he sat at the piano. Then he switched it up for the tall people who stood wherever they wanted and didn't care. But there was little love for the middle range of people and they had no room to complain because they have the perfect view. It was funny. After that, he played a new song called Why Don't You Try. It was a sad one. About him going off and if this person would have asked him to stay he would have. Later on the everyone exited the stage Encore like, then just Eric came back by himself at first. He did some chit chatting and explained how he was tired of breaking up with his girlfriend so many times so he wrote the song It Hasn't Been Long Enough and played it at a show she was at and it fixed the problem. Hahaha!!! A little after he started the song the band showed up on my side of the stage and almost had a panic look while coming back on stage. It could have just been me overthinking though. He did a couple covers after that and the band was giggling through Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. It was a blast and I loved hearing everyone sing along. Fun stuff. He closed the show with Rock And Roll which I guess no one has heard before... NOT. It was so loud. The whole room was singing along. Even Kristen!! The show was SO good. I can not wait to see them again. Afterwards Kris really wanted a picture with Eric so we waited. There were a few people that stuck around. Usually I really like to talk to Eric but I already had it in my head that I wasn't going to keep him because he has been going none stop for so long with Kelly. The girls ended up being like 7th in line. I never deal with lines when talking to Eric. I wait until almost everyone is gone then go in for a hug and a chat. This time I just couldn't. The line was getting me flustered I had the trip home on my mind. I wanted to make sure I said bye to Tone before I left too. It was an extremely short chat with Eric, "Hi can I have a hug? You were great!" type chat. And again I forgot to say Thank You. Hopefully he knows how thankful I am that he came out and performed near me. I'm pretty sure he knows how grateful I am that he is around and comes out gives me and my friends such a good time. OH! I met Elliott Blaufuss(?). He seemed really nice. I wanted to make sure I came up and said hello and introduced myself. He was really good guys. I was kinda weird at first, I didn't think I understood what was missing that they needed to add him, but afterwards I understood. He did an awesome job. Hopefully he'll stick around.
Well that's about all I have for right now. If I think of more I will add it. OH! We ended up making it home by 2:30am!! Woo! I did the whole drive there and prettymuch the whole way back. Kristen had to drive like the last 10 mins. I was going to pass the eff out. It was nuts. I hit that seat and felt my brain turn off. Weird. Next time hopefully I will see them in Houston again.

I love them all. Best group of men ever. Thank you gentlemen!!
